 My Thumb isnt Green Yet
by
A few weeks ago when we had many warm sunny days Lauren, Melanie and I started playing outside a lot and I would weed. I am really excited about planting a garden this year, so I'm trying to get the soil prepared. It's amazing how big the weeds got before it was warm enough to feel like pulling them. As soon as I had enough soil ready I planted peas. That was 15 days ago.

I'm getting rather anxious for the sprouts to appear. I was very glad to get a fortune cookie today with this message, Your efforts are budding, results will appear soon. So I have hope that we'll have lots of peas very soon. I have some pole peas to plant as soon as I have a good spot ready next to the fence. I can't decide what else to try this early, any suggestions? I'm hoping to at least try these this year: tomatoes, bell peppers, squash, strawberries (I'm getting starts from a neighbor!), pumpkins (behind our fence to keep the weeds down and the huge plants out of the way), carrots, beets, and whatever else sounds good.
